Examinations in 2025/26

IMPORTANT NOTICE FOR Y11 AND Y13 STUDENTS, PARENTS/CARERS

A level and GCSE exam contingency session is WEDNESDAY 24TH JUNE 2026.

This date has been set by JCQ as a contingency date, should sustained national or local disruption arise during the Summer 2026 examination series. If disruption occurs, the GCSE and/or A level exams (or equivalent) would be taken either for the first time or again on any date up to and including the contingency date.

Students taking public examinations should not plan to go on holiday before the 25th June regardless of when their last exam takes place.

This is a JCQ decision and applies to all students taking GCSE and or A levels (or equivalent) in Summer 2026 in all schools and colleges.

Year 7

Assessments will be conducted throughout the year as determined by each department.

Year 8

Assessments will be conducted throughout the year as determined by each department.

Year 9

Assessments will be conducted throughout the year as determined by each department.

Year 10

Mock written paper exams will take place from 15th - 26th June 2026.  

Art and photography exams will take place 2nd - 5th June 2026.

Year 11

Mock written paper exams will take place from 10th - 21st November 2025. 

Food and Nutrition practical exam TBC

Y11 Additional Core Subject Mocks will take place 23rd February - 6th March 2026.

Art Exams take place 21st & 22nd April 2026.

Photography Exams take place 23rd & 24th April 2026.

PE GCSE practical assessments TBC

MFL speaking exams take place 27th April - 1st May 2026.

External summer exams (GCSE and equivalents) will take place 4th May- 22nd June 2025.

Year 12

Criminology assessment will take place on 9th & 102th March 2026.

Mock written paper exams will take place from 20th April - 1st May 2026.  

MFL speaking exams take place 11th - 15th May 2026.

Fine Art  and Art Photography exams take place 21st & 22nd May 2026.

Year 13

Mock written paper exams will take place 12th - 23rd January 2026. 

Criminology controlled will take place on 9th & 10th February 2026.

MFL speaking exams take place 5th - 8th May 2025.

Fine Art and Art Photography exams take place 6th - 8th May 2026.

External summer exams (A level and equivalents) will take place 4th May - 22nd June 2026.
