What is House?
At the heart of our school is a House System that has spanned over decades, designed to foster a sense of belonging, inspire every student to achieve their very best and contribute positively to the school community.
Each House is more than just a name or a colour – it represents a set of values that build upon Courage and Courtesy and guide our students throughout their time here as they compete each year to win the House Cup and represent their team.
This year marks the start of a revamped House System. All Houses will elect representatives from each year group who, alongside their KS5 House captain, plan an event in the summer term to raise money for a charity they will have voted on, as a house.
There are a number of different activities students can take part in during their time at KTS, spanning across different departments and different skill sets. Whether it’s working together in the House matches, showing off their artistic skills in the Christmas card competition or even just being a good citizen within our school community. House points can be gained anywhere, not just for victories, but for contribution. Every student has the opportunity to make a difference.
We have an ever-growing list of events pupils (and staff!) can choose to participate in. Please find below our Autumn calendar so far.
