Our most recent inspection – September 2017
In September 2017 we were inspected by Ofsted, the Office for Standards in Education, and were judged to be a ‘Good’ school. You can read the inspection report here.
Following the publication of the report in October 2017, Mr Litchfield said:
“The report is an incredibly positive one and gives us some strong indicators about how we will achieve an Outstanding grading over the next couple of years. Thank you to all parents who responded to the Ofsted survey – your time and positive comments are greatly appreciated. One paragraph in the report reads:
You have high aspirations for pupils, which permeate throughout the school and which have a positive impact on the progress pupils make from their different starting points. Examination results at key stage 4 and key stage 5 are consistently good, and you routinely monitor outcomes to identify areas for further improvement.
“The Ofsted inspector fed back to the senior leadership team and governors that it is the kind of school you would want your own child to attend and a senior Department of Education visitor commented that the inspection report read like one from an outstanding school. I am very proud of our achievements and as always the students were a real credit to you and to the school.”
Ofsted Parent View
Parents and carers are able to leave feedback on their child's school outside of the normal inspection timeline via Ofsted’s Parent View survey. We would like to encourage you to complete this by clicking here.
