Food Technician

£19,312-£19698 per year (H3, 18 hours per week on Wed/Thurs/Fri, term-time only, pro rata salary)

Could you be the next Mary Berry or Jamie Oliver? Do you enjoy food and cooking? Are you handy with a needle, cotton and pair of scissors? Do you think you would enjoy working with young people or have experience of doing so? You could be just what we are looking for!

We are looking for a new team member to work alongside the existing technician and teaching staff in food technology classrooms (and sometimes in textiles) to assist in the preparation of lesson materials. The requirements of the role could vary from measuring ingredients, restocking the store cupboards or placing a supermarket order for delivery. You would need to be prepared to help the students in class to complete their task, often literally rolling up your sleeves and getting stuck elbow deep into a bowl of ingredients!
