2023-24
The Knights Templar School has opted into the 16-19 Tuition Fund 2023-2024, which is available to address disruption to learning arising from coronavirus (COVID-19). The additional funding that the school will receive will be used to support the students with the greatness needs, to ensure that they can make the fullest progress that they are capable of.
In addition to small group tuition in both Maths and English to support students who have not achieved a grade 4 in GCSE English or Maths, we plan to:
- Through our tutorial programme, identify students with specific skills gaps
- Set up small group study support sessions to ensure students have the support to work on their time management, organisation, knowledge consolidation and study skills
- Additional staffing will be allocated at key points in the programme to address the specific identified needs, whether academic or pastoral. For example; senior pastoral support and additional Attendance & Welfare Officer support for wellbeing/mental health/pastoral issues for SEND students
- Engagement and outcomes of the support programme will be monitored.
2022-23

In addition to small group tuition for 1 hour a week of both Maths and English to support students who have not achieved a grade 4 in GCSE English or Maths, we plan to:
- Appoint a KS5 Literacy Lead.
- Through our tutorial programme, identify students with specific skills gaps.
- Set up small group study support session in half-termly blocks to ensure a wide reaching programme.
- Additional staffing will be allocated at key points in the programme to address the specific identified needs.
- Engagement and outcomes of the support programme will be monitored.

2020-21
In 2020-2021 KTS received £3,457 of additional funding to mitigate the disruption to learning arising from coronavirus (COVID-19).
This money was used to provide additional small group tuition for 1 hour a week of both Maths and English to support students who have not achieved a grade 4 in GCSE English or Maths.
In the Autumn Term 2020, 11 students attended the English group and 8 students attended the Maths group.
From January 2021, 6 students are still receiving tuition in Maths and 3 students in English.
